January 5, 2010: Legislative Session Begins Today!

Hello everyone,

The new session is starting with many committees already scheduling reviews of budget and policy issues of concern to VCDR . The first calendar of the session is pasted into this email along with links to budget ("tiger team") reports from the Administration.  The steering committee and I will be working with Karen Lafayette, our legislative liaison, on other updates and alerts as the session unfolds. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We need your stories on topics of concern to you and bills you are watching.

Please forward to this to others in your organization or network and let us know if we should be adding others connected with your organization or community to this Alert List. Thank you!

Wishing you the best in this New Year.
